THE HOLLISTERS

Originally formed in 1995, the Hollisters toured heavily across the country for 5 years before taking a break for other projects. Recently, the band has reunited for some special shows, playing to enthusiastic crowds and proving a loyal fan base in Texas and throughout the United States. Their music is featured in Mike Wranovics' documentary "Up for Grabs," about the two fans who claimed the rights to Barry Bonds' home run ball No. 73 in the 2001 season. "Up for Grabs" opens in San Francisco April 15, and a week later spreads out to the rest of the Bay area. In May, it will expand to other Major League cities.
The Hollisters were voted best country band in the Houston Press Music Awards no less than 3 times. The song, "Sweet Inspiration", which was the title track of the band's second release was picked by Charlie Robison for his major label debut on Sony.
The band is Mike Barfield, Eric Danheim, Kevin Fitzpatrick and Denny Blakely.
