SOULAR GROOVES SOUND SYSTEM DEEJAYS

Every day on the World Stage, the deejays of Soular Grooves Sound System will keep the party going between live sets onstage. DJ Sun, host of the long-running KPFT radio program Soular Grooves and king of Houston's ultra-hip club deejays, has put together a phenomenal lineup of international deejays, including DJ Kool Emdee (from Jamaica), DJ Josh Zulu (from Zambia), DJ Simiyu (from Kenya) and DJ Sun himself (from Suriname). All four deejays will spin each day, with the featured deejay coming on last, before the headliner. The music they play will reflect the theme "Out of Africa," from the music of the Motherland to salsa, samba, reggae, soca, hip-hop, acid-jazz, neo-soul and classic R&B.
