International Festival Mayor’s Gala

What:                          International Festival Mayor’s Gala, a gala celebration of international culture and cuisine featured at the Houston International Festival. Next year’s spotlight is on the country of Ireland.

When:                         Thursday, April 16, 2009

7:30-11:00 p.m.

(Underwriters’ Reception: 6:30-7:30 p.m.)

Benefiting:                 The Mayor’s Gala supports the Festival’s arts and education programs, which reach a potential 900,000 students at 1,471 campuses in seven Texas counties. Students will learn about the culture and history of Ireland through the Festival’s Teacher’s Curriculum Guide.

Honoring:                   The event will be hosted by The Honorable Bill White and Mrs. Andrea White

Entertainment:          Enchanting performers capturing the Emerald Isle
