He communicates naturally and gives us what&amp;#8217;s on his mind, keeping the blues tradition near at hand with one foot planted firmly in the 21st Century&amp;#8221; --- Jim Santella / Southland Blues Magazine. Guitarist/singer/songwriter, Silver Bridge Recording blues artist Chris Bell was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Massachusetts, and credits both his parents for introducing him to blues, jazz, rhythm &amp; blues and gospel music. At the early age of nine, he picked up his first guitar and discovered his passion. During the 1980's, while majoring in art and music at the University of Massachusetts, Chris participated in jazz workshops with Archie Shepp, attended a summer session at Berklee School of Music, and studied under guitar great Tony MacAlpine. <title>Karina Nistal Band</title>
<description> El Mismo Singer/songwriter Karina Nistal is known to align herself with diverse and solid collaborations to showcase her extensive range. Her work consists of emotive jazz vocals on downtempo tracks, rapping in Spanish for the worldly sounds of reggaeton, or fusing soulful Latin vocals with lively dance music. Most significantly, it is a vibrant charisma that carries over her poetic musings in either English or Spanish, or her self-assured flirtatious rhymes. There's a very fine line between poetry and rap, but it's one that only Karina interconnects with finesse. Music captivated the native Houstonian at an early age. Karina indulged in old school hip hop, rhythm &amp; blues, soul and jazz. It was Karina's mixed Hispanic heritage (Mexican and Cuban) that spotlighted Latin styles-traditional mariachi folk music and the Afro-Cuban beats of salsa. After several years of featuring on numerous Dance and Hip Hop releases, Karina made her first full-length bilingual debut album, Nistyle on...

			<title>Voodoo Brass Band</title>
<description> O Lil' Liza The power of music to some is the life force that adheres many friends, families and organizations together. That powerful spirit of music has for years been associated with the lively city of New Orleans. The Louisiana city is known for its food, magical connotations, the Saints, but mainly for its Second Line music. Traditional Second Line bands played after burials at funerals and at parades or special events. In 2005, when Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, many thought that the spirit of the vibrant city had seen its last day&amp;#8230; not if the Voodoo Brass Band could help it. The Voodoo Brass Band, a group of 8 artists, banned together to bring a taste of home to many of their displaced friends and family. The band was formed on November 24, 2005 under the shadow of NFO, an organization created to service the needs of New Orleans band members to University Marching Bands, playing their 1st performance at a private party to give a sensation to a group...

			<title>Cecil and Rainel Pino Orchestra</title>
<description> Amor Prohibido Cecille Cristina was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela to a musical family. Her musical influence started with her parents and brothers who have performed at different levels locally and abroad. In 1998, Cecille and her family immigrated to Houston, Texas where her interest in music began. During this time, her brothers were active musicians both in Canada and Houston. Cecille always found joy in supporting their craft and immersed herself in various types of music. In 2003, Cecille made her debut as a lead vocalist with several local bands, simultaneously studying at Houston Community College in pursuit of a degree in music. She began by taking private voice lessons and then teamed up with partner and music producer, Rainel Pino who helped her develop the talent that she had as a singer and made her realize the potential she had to grow as a performer. In 2007, she auditioned at Houston Baptist University and received a vocal scholarship to study Music Education where...

<title>Bachata Roja Legends featuring Puerto Plata</title>
<description> Mujer Perjura Following on the release, &amp;#8220;Bachata Roja: Acoustic Bachata from the Cabaret Era,&amp;#8221; iASO presents The Bachata Roja Legends Concert Series: a live showcase uniting revered figures from bachata&amp;#8217;s storied past with young stars from the new generation. In the early 1980s, Ramon Cordero, Ysidro Cabrera &amp;#8216;El Chivo Sin Ley&amp;#8217; and Edilio Paredes collaborated to create a performance series called &amp;#8220;Lunes de Amargue&amp;#8221; (Amargue translates loosely as the bitter-sweet feeling of unrealized love). The series was so successful that copycat &amp;#8216;Noches de amargue&amp;#8217; surfaced and bachata began to be referred to as &amp;#8220;Musica de amargue&amp;#8221;, a term still used today. The success of these shows helped bachata reach new more affluent audiences and was an important prelude bachata&amp;#8217;s emergence internationally.
