The FunkBank is one of Houston's hottest upcoming bands. The FunkBank sound features a mix of Houston style hip-hop, soul, funk, and r&b. When you check this band out don’t expect to hear any covers. The FunkBank performs all original tunes produced by Houston’s hip-hop producer and member of the band Q-Stone, who has produced songs for many of H-Town's biggest rappers. The songs are co- written by the remaining members of the band, Brock G. one of H-Towns dopest MCs, and who's love for music was the reason for the creation of " The FunkBank". Knowing Q-stone since grade school and working together since his first song in 99, the musical bond was always there. He reached out to other long time friends and frat brothers, Drummer QTR, & Bass player Chicago, & his cousin, sensational female vocalist Takiyah Holt. The FunkBank, grouped in 2006, has gained most of its popularity by word of mouth in Houston’s fine arts community.
