The Mayapuris is an amalgamation of drummers, dancers, a Bad Brains record and
unbridled spontaneity coming together under a lifelong devotion to Krishna consciousness.
It’s a party, an ecstasy booster, a musical bridge between everyday life and a connection
to something bigger. The Mayapuris are a kirtan band, breathing new, young life into sacred
5,000-year-old songs, inspiring yogis, swamis and rock stars all over the world to sing, dance
and be transported.

A nomadic tribe of artists from Florida, Sweden, Columbia and India found themselves
connected by the birthplace of kirtan, the tiny, holy West Bengal city of Mayapur, where
school pals became band mates, best friends and spouses. The Mayapuris’ sound is a
product of a global upbringing, punk rock attitudes and a genuine desire to serve the world
with powerful, uplifting music.
