Cecille Cristina was born in Maracaibo, Venezuela to a musical family. Her musical influence started with her parents and brothers who have performed at different levels locally and abroad. In 1998, Cecille and her family immigrated to Houston, Texas where her interest in music began. In 2003, Cecille made her debut as a lead vocalist with several local bands, simultaneously studying at Houston Community College in pursuit of a degree in music. She began by taking private voice lessons and then teamed up with partner and music producer, Rainel Pino who helped her develop the talent that she had as a singer and made her realize the potential she had to grow as a performer. In 2007, she auditioned at Houston Baptist University and received a vocal scholarship to study Music Education where she is in her senior year. In addition to this, she has worked on a classical level for different Houston churches of all denominations, and most recently at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where she serves as their Musical Director and Music Minister. This opportunity has helped Cecille to stay in touch with her classical training and maintain her vocal skills as well as perform on a popular level in local venues.

 

Between a high demanding school schedule, church responsibilities, and her new musical production, Cecille and Rainel’s team have maintained a hard, but steady course and are currently working on releasing her first album entitled, “La Que Manda” which features merengue, hip-hop, and latin pop rhythms along with a second production of Salsa called “Salsa Pop”. Cecille’s repertoire ranges from jazz, merengue, salsa to classical, disco, and pop.

 

To her own merits, charisma and stage presence, Cecille has been signed with the House of Blues, Houston, as the House Band. Her showcase features herself as the lead vocalist, Rainel Pinos’s Band, with the House of Blues theme “La Diabla Nights”. As an up and coming star, Cecille’s plans for the future are to finish her education, album, and expand her show to all audiences in the world with her music, energy, dynamic personality, and bring her love for music to all the cultures she admires for their rich culture.
